Terms of Use
Last updated 18 August 2026
Cometrail is distributed through the App Store, so Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies. Where these terms and that agreement conflict, the Standard EULA governs.
The app
Cometrail reads your workout routes from Apple Health and Strava, animates them on a map, and exports the animation as a video. It is provided to you as a personal, non-transferable licence to use on Apple devices you own or control.
Your content
Your workouts, routes, and the videos you export are yours. We claim no ownership over them and, as described in the Privacy Policy, we cannot access them — they stay on your device.
Acceptable use
Don't use Cometrail to break the law, and don't attempt to reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the app except as the Standard EULA permits. If you connect Strava, you also agree to Strava's terms; map usage is subject to Mapbox's terms.
Availability
Cometrail depends on services we don't control — Apple Health, Strava's API, and Mapbox. Any of them can change, rate-limit, or become unavailable, and features that rely on them may stop working as a result.
No warranty
Cometrail is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that exported videos or route data will be accurate or preserved. Keep your own copies of anything you care about.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Cometrail, including lost data or lost recordings.
Changes
These terms may be updated; the date at the top will change when they are. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
