Cometrail for iOS 17 and later
Email dinakartumu@gmail.com and you'll get a reply. Including your iOS version and what you were doing when it went wrong makes it much faster to fix.
My routes aren't showing up
- Check Settings → Apple Health shows Connected. If not, tap Connect Apple Health.
- iOS permissions are per-data-type. Open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Cometrail and confirm both Workouts and Routes are enabled — routes are a separate toggle and are easy to miss.
- Only workouts recorded with GPS have routes to draw. Indoor workouts have none.
- Widen the date range. The map only shows workouts inside the window you've selected.
- Check Settings → Show on Map — a source hidden there stays hidden even while connected.
Strava won't connect
- Connecting opens Strava's own sign-in page. If it closes immediately, make sure you're signed in to Strava in Safari first.
- Cometrail requests read access to your activities. Declining that permission leaves it disconnected.
- If it worked before and stopped, disconnect and reconnect — your Strava authorisation may have been revoked from Strava's connected apps.
The exported video looks wrong
- The crop preview on the map shows exactly what lands in frame. Set the aspect ratio before recording, not after.
- If playback stutters in the export, turn on Settings → Export → Fill dropped frames.
- Exports are saved to your photo library, which needs add-only Photos permission.
Deleting your data
Disconnect a source in Settings to remove what it imported, or delete the app to remove everything Cometrail stored. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
